| The Renegades Band is as a five piece musical group fronted by bandleader, professional entertainer, lead and backing vocalist, and acoustic guitarist, Glenn Dale Fontenot. The group features the talented female vocalist, Ms. Kitty, who also plays keyboard. The band has additional lead and backing vocalist along with instrumentation consisting of lead electric guitar, bass guitar, and drums. The Renegades Band was formed in December 1995 and performed for various functions, night clubs, and casinos for about a year. The group then accepted a "house band" offer from Hank's Night Club in Chalmette, Louisiana and performed there three to five nights a week for twenty-three months (March 1997-February1999). After that, the band did several tours and performed a multitude of venues from Florida to Texas until 2003. In 2001 Glenn and Kitty began performing "fill-in" gigs as a duo and soon became a sought after musical entity. From 2004 thru 2009 The Renegades Band was put on a back burner as Glenn And Kitty became very successful performing nation wide as America's Musical Duo. In recent years Ms. Kitty has semi-retired from music and only on rare occasions does she perform. Glenn has continued his music career as a soloist, Glenn, A Band Of One. Currently The Renegades Band is not active however there are plans in the works to revive the all live act. |
